We did some practice on expressing whether you play or do a sport, then we talked about articles changing with the sports. To end, we played a gimkit on that.

We started with a mad minute on aimer conjugations, then we did our sports vocab quiz. We talked about jouer and faire, and sorted the sports accordingly. We did some sentence practice expressing likes/dislikes, and I gave you some time to practice writing sentences to prepare for an assessment next week.

We did some more written practice with aimer and sports, then we did some conversation on expressing likes/dislikes. We ended with a gimkit review of the sports vocab to prepare for tomorrow.

We started with a dominoes warmup and a quick game to recall the pronouns. I introduced our first verb: aimer. We played a gimkit on that, then did some written practice. I helped you do some review of the sports and their classifications.

We started with a quick pronouns review, then I had you play a dice game to get familiar with them. We did some practice via worksheets, then I introduced the French colours to you. You were given some time to clean your binders before doing some colours practice. 

When you clean your binder, keep the following: coloured notes, sports practice, pronouns practice and colouring practice. Everything else can be recycled.

We did a warmup activity to review the vocab, then we did our quiz. We did our third spelling practice, then I showed you how to write the date in French. I gave you the rest of the numbers and some more weather terminology. At the end, I showed you the accents and explained how they're used.

We looked at useful classroom phrases so you can use them to ask for things in class. We revisited the days of the week, and looked at the months. We played a gimkit to practice, then we did our second spelling practice with the alphabet. I gave you numbers 32-50, and we started recording some weather terminology. I had you play a gimkit on page 1 of the green notes to prepare for tomorrow's quiz.

Thursday, January 29th 

We reviewed the concepts from yesterday, and I gave you a few minutes to revisit the numbers. We then played Gimkit for the first time :) We did some written practice, then I introduced the French alphabet. If you didn't finish the backside of the worksheet, I assigned it for homework.  

Tomorrow, we will be playing a BINGO on #s 0-31.

Wednesday, January 28th 

We revisited classroom expectations, and how to introduce ourselves. Then, we did some written practice. We filled out the first page of the green notes (which we will be practicing more tomorrow), then we reviewed #s 0-10. We did a listening activity to practice those, then I gave you 11-31. If you didn't finish the practice sheet, we will be finishing that tomorrow. 

 

Tuesday, January 27th 

Welcome to French 8! We started by going over the course outline, and I gave you the classroom expectations rundown. We went over some reasons on why we learn French (and it's not just because the government said so!). We learned how to introduce ourselves, and how to ask who someone else is. To finish, we learned numbers 0-10.
