After our regular warm-up, we reviewed the homework on Faire. We then spent some time practicing all of our verbs with a dice game. I showed you the particles we have to use with sports when using the verbs jouer and faire, then we ended the day with a kahoot.

We did a dominoes warm-up, then we did some conversation practice expressing our sports preferences. We then practiced a new verb: faire. We learned how to sort sports into jouer and faire categories, then we practiced some more with our new verb.

We reviewed the notes from yesterday to make sure we got them, then we did some puzzles. We re-visited the sentence work from yesterday, identifying errors to avoid. While you were working on sports opinions, I went around to review your frequency sentences to provide feedback. To end the day, we played gimkit.

We did a warm-up of verb practice. I handed back your exit slips yesterday so you could see where ou need to correct errors. We then did our 2nd ER verb quiz. We reviewed frequency terminology, an did some practice with it. I introduced sports vocab.

We did a quick refresher on expressing likes/dislikes, then we reviewed the homework. We did a listening activity, and an exit slip on expressing likes/dislikes. I introduced frequency terminology, which we will practice more tomorrow.

We did a practice quiz on verb conjugations before I gave you your last booklet to work on. We then did our reading assessment. I introduced the concept of verbs and infinitives, then you had the rest of class to finish your homework. If you finished early, I had you practice expressing some of the things you like/dislike to do.

We did a review of verb meanings and adjectives before reviewing the homework. I had a lsitening exercise for ou, and some written practice. We took some notes on question words, then we played gimkit for the rest of the day.

We did a warm-up activity with the vocab, and I handed back your assessments. We did a homework check, then we looked at how to describe numbers from the question "combien de." We also started looking at how to use the verb aimer (to like/love) in relation to the school subjects.

We started with a game of bingo (numbers), then we did our conversation assessment. We then did our written assessment, then we did a round of gimkit. To finish the day, we did some more practice with the new vocab.

We did a warm-up before going over our paragraphs for tomorrow's test. I then gave you some time to practice describing yourselves verbally. We did our first textbook reading, then I introduced the next unit.

We did a check-in of our spring break before doing a big binder clean. When you clean your binder, make sure you keep ANY worksheets that include adjective practice, and ALL coloured notes :) We then did a review of adjective usage, and some written practice. 

There will be a speaking assessment on Friday. You will be expected to describe yourself using adjectives about your physical description (hair, eyes, stature) and personal characteristics. (We'll do more practice tomorrow.)

We did some more conversation practice to prepare for Wednesday. We then did some practice with the days of the week, and the months of the year. To finish the day, I showed you Gimit, and we practiced the vocab.

Thursday, February 1st 

We learned how to express our emotions, and did some conversation practice with that. We then did some written practice on all of the greetings and expressions. I taught you the days of the week, then we did some spelling and listening practice with numbers. 

     Upcoming dates: 

     -There will be a speaking evaluation on Wednesday.

     -On Monday, there will be a matching quiz on greetings. 

     -On Tuesday, there will be a listening quiz with greetings

     -On Thursday, there will be a #s spelling test from 0-31

Wednesday, January 31st 

We did some conversation practice using introductions, asking for names and farewells. We did some more notes on introducting others, then some written practice. We did some listening exercises on numbers 0-9, then we practiced #s 0-20.

Tuesday, January 30th 

Today, we went through classroom expectations, and what the course will cover. We then looked at some of the reasons why we take French, how to introduce ourselves, hello/goodbye, and numbers 1-10.
