We played a gimkit to practice the weather, then we did our spelling practice. The real thing is tomorrow. We did a conversation on the date, then some matching practice on the weather.

We didn't get to numbers due to the fire drill-- we will do that tomorrow.

We played a Kahoot on writing the date, then we did some written practice with it. We played a gimkit on numbers, then we took some notes on weather. We ended with some puzzles

We played BINGO to review numbers 0-31, then we did our spelling quiz. We learned how to write the date, and did some written practice with that. To end class, I introduced #s 32-50, and we played gimkit to practice.

Thursday, September 11th

We did a spelling practice of 0-31 to prepare for tomorrow's quiz, then we played a gimkit on days of the week and months. We did some more written practice with the days and months, then we did a spelling practice. To end the day, I introduced the concept of writing the date, which we'll practice tomorrow.

Wednesday, September 10th 

We played Gimkit quickly to review the vocab, then we did our greetings quiz. We did a second spelling practice, then we revisited the days of the week. I introduced the months, then we did some practice.

Tuesday, September 9th

We played Gimkit for the first time today to practice the vocab, then we did a practice sheet. We revisited the alphabet from yesterday, and did a practice spelling quiz on it. I introduced the days of the week, and we'll continue with them tomorrow :)

Monday, September 8th 

We reviewed the sheet from Friday, then we did some conversation practice. We learned #s 0-31, and practiced spelling them out. We took a quick look at the alphabet so we could start with that tomorrow. ​

Friday, September 5th

We played a Kahoot to review the concepts from this week, then we did some written practice on asking who people are. We covered #s 11-20, then we took some notes on asking how you're doing. To end the day, we did the back side of the "Bonjour" page. We will revisit that sheet on Monday, and go over the answers then :)​

Thursday, September 4th 

We reviewed yesterday, then looked at the different ways of saying goodbye. We did a quick practice of saying it to classmates, then we did some written practice. We learned #s 0-10, and did both written and listening practice with them. We learned how to ask someone for their name, and how to identify others. 

 

Wednesday, September 3rd 

We reviewed yesterday, and I showed you this website :) I helped you set up your binders, and we talked about some of the reasons why learning French can be a good thing. We looked at some classroom phrases, and how to ask for things in French. Next, we did an exercise on cognates to show you that you know more French than you think you do. To end the day, we looked at 4 ways of saying hello, giving titles, and saying thank you. 

 

Tuesday, September 2nd 

Today, we just started with introductions, class expectations, and what we'll be working on this semester :) ​
